Wrapping Up Our Novel

Wow, time has been flying by in room 17! We have been so busy! We finished our second novel of the year last week and did a final wrap up project. The project was a flip book. I saw some other teachers complete a similar project but I altered it a bit to fit our classroom needs and abilities.
The students completed a flip book with a summary, a charatcer description, a setting description, and a reflection regarding the novel. Last year, I had the students write it out on lined paper and glue it into their flip book. This year, I decided to have the students type out their paragraphs. Then we printed them out and glued them into our flip book. I am attempting to have the students type as much as possible to get them ready for the Smarter Balanced Test that we will be taking in May.
Overall, they turned out wonderful. They all have a similar format, but their own unique twist. I was very happy with our end result!
