Voki

My district is very fortunate due to the fact we are receiving some major technology training! Along with our technology roll out (every student kinder- eighth grade has received a technology device with wireless internet) the teachers are participating in fifty (plus) hours of training. We are working and learning about different ways we as educators can bring technology to our students in the classroom. So far we have been introduced to the different ISTE standards ( http://www.iste.org/standards/standards-for-students ) and we have created learning goals to work towards for us in the classroom.

A fun thing we did was play with a site called Voki. Voki is a fun site where you can make a digital customized speaking character. I am a big kitty-cat lover so I chose a cat! You decide what the Vokl says. It was a lot of fun making it, and I am sure the students would love it as well!
